The AVENGERS ends its reign being number one on the box-office chart for many weeks. The movie sequel ofand Tommy Lee Jones Men In Black 3 tops the movie box office over the Memorial Day weekend with $55million domestic sales from Friday to Sunday.
The superhero sensation THE AVENGERS marks on number two with $37 million, Battleship on number 3 with $10.8 million and Dictator on number 4 with $9.6 million sales. Men in Black 3 reunites Smith's Agent J and Jones' Agent K as they battle a new alien menace that travels four decades back in time to do away with the younger Agent K (Josh Brolin).
Sony estimates that by the end of the four-day holiday weekend Monday, "Men in Black 3" will have pulled in $70 million domestically and $202 million worldwide. Although they hit box office chart the third series was the least ticket sold compared to the previous movie released in 1997 and 2002.
