And Jacob said unto his brethren, Gather stones; and they took stones, and made an heap: and they did eat there upon the heap.

-- Gen. 31:46 (KJV)

When something was set in stone, the heap of stones served as a reminder to the people making the agreement and to God that a contract was made. Always put your contracts with others in writing, especially if it is with family and/or friends.

Numerical Analysis: The numerical pattern for this verse is 4,1,5,3,6. (4) To stay in God's Word, speak correctly. (1) To follow God, use the resources that are around you. (5) To stay in God's presence, use the resources that are around you for the purpose of creating something new. (3) To stay in the Spirit, create new things out of the resources that are around you. (6) To expose evil, eat and fellowship with others.
