French actress Audrey Tautou appeared with costars Catherine Arditi, Gilles Lellouche, Anais Demoustier and Stanley Weber at the premiere of their film Therese Desqueyroux as well as the Closing Ceremony for the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festivalon May 27, 2012 in Cannes, France.
For the occasion, Audrey Tautou, who plays the title role of “Therese Desqueyroux,” wore a beaded linen dress that appeared to be in a natural, undyed pale beige shade, teamed with beige leather pumps.
Actor Adrien Brody who appeared onstage with Audrey, looked long and lean in his black tuxedo and black bowtie, sporting his well-sculpted mustache and ever-so-subtle goatie.
Andie MacDowell, who was attending the premiere and Closing Ceremony along with daughter Sarah Margaret Qualley, looked very elegant in her strapless ivory gown, accessorized with a thick bracelet on her right wrist.
Sarah wore an emerald green chiffon gown with a beaded bodice and daringly high slit over the left thigh.
Directed by Claude Miller, Therese Desqueyroux is about an unhappily married woman who struggles to break free from social pressures and her boring suburban existence, who apparently resorts to desperate measures such as poisoning her husband “Bernard,” played by Gilles Lellouche!
Also attending the film premiere of Therese Desqueyroux and the Closing Ceremony were singer Kylie Minogue (in a lovely pearl grey dress), Jean Dujardin, Alexandra Lamy (in a gorgeous white gown with silver beading!), Megan Gale (in a stunning orchid colored gown), Clotilde Courau, Anja Rubik (loved the serpentine shoes and the dress wasn’t bad either!), Caroline Scheufele, Mouna Ayoub, Diane Kruger (in an unusual grey and white checked gown), Melanie Doutey (loved the metallic houndstooth print gown!), Nikki Butler and Tim Roth, and Phoebe Price.
