Gas Prices Soar In Germany

For those of you in the USA complaining about gasoline being up to $5 a gallon, be grateful that the prices hasn't jumped up even higher.

In Germany, the government has raised the gas price to 1.64 euros per liter this past week. Since Germany is helping to bail out Greece, they have placed austerity on their own people with insane gas prices. Converting this into gallons, the German people are roughly paying about $6.25 per gallon for gasoline.

It's another example that austerity doesn't work.
