Syria: violence persists as Kofi Annan urges truce complianc
More than 70 people were killed across Syria on 05.25, after thousands of protesters clashed with forces of Syrian PresidentBashar al-Assad.

His government al-Assad dispatched thousands of troops and tanks to quell protests frantic 12 in Syria, including Houla, the second largest city in Syria.

Witnesses told AFP that his government forces al-Assad opened fire on protesters violently.
