Barack Obama and his marijuana days with the ‘Choom Gang’ is history

Barack Obama is, today, the President of the USA aspiring for a second term in office. But, once upon a time, he also was young and in those days, he like any other youth did experience the highs associated with marijuana.

This has been reported in The Telegraph dated the 25th of May 2012.

It has been revealed in his biography ‘Barack Obama – the Story’ that when he was in school in Honolulu Hawaii in the 1970s, he was a member of the ‘Choom Gang’ – this gang used to play basketball and ‘choomed’ which means ‘smoking dope’.

He had started a few trends in these activities – like 'TA' or 'total absorption'. This meant that no one could exhale the smoke but must allow it to get totally absorbed.

Another was the ‘roof hits’ – this meant smoking inside the car with the windows close and, when the pot was gone, they would tilt back their heads and suck in the last bit of smoke floating around.

These would not come as a shock revelation to voters because, when they elected him in 2008, they knew that Barack Obama had also tried cocaine while he was a university student in New York.
