The most unqualified man ever to ascend to the Presidency, Obama couldn’t wait to join the chorus in the latest episode of scandal of the hour.
In the wake of JPMorgan Chase’s $2 billion trade loss, Obama rushed to join his foul pal hatemongeron The View. But as always even as he sought to exploit the scandal for his business-bashing regulation initiatives, Obama actually exposed himself like something behind a filthy raincoat in a public park. Like the coward of the chorus, Obama too went on and on, praising , Chairman, President and CEO of JPMorgan as “one of the smartest bankers we’ve got.” Can you believe it? These bankers are all geniuses, so how do you explain their spectacular failures and simple screw-ups? For Obama, of course, that calls for government intervention.
The timeless tune of the tone-deaf. It’s the natural complement of the infamous Peter Principle. As employees are promoted to a higher and higher level of incompetence so do their failures expand. The losses get more reckless and downright senseless.
Till they reach the level where their only success is the statement of their success.
Now Obama’s statement of Jamie Dimon’s success is not just based on the fact that Dimon is a Democrat with long-term ties to Obama’s Chicago, that cauldron of corruption. You have to laugh out loud when you hear Obama crowing about business bonuses. His pal Dimon walked away with a whopping $23 million package in spite of that monster loss.
Worse, much worse, Obama has been hustling hard from the very same private equity firms he’s been attacking in the foulest way. Already, CNN reports, Obama has been able to shake down almost $125,000 from Bain Capital employees. That’s Mitt Romney’s Bain Capital, if you please.
So when you hear Obama asking, “haven’t they learnt anything?” about big business, you have to ask, “who’s kidding whom here?”
Has Obama learnt anything? He used to be a two-bit “community organizer.” He knows nothing about how private equity is the gasoline in the engine of business. The reason he continues to suck up to Jamie Dimon of course is that once he is kicked out of the White House come November, Obama’s going to need a job. The ol’ street hustler got used to better now. So he’s taking care of those who will take care of him.
Obama’s just another failed executive who won’t go without a fat severance package.
