Whereas thou hast searched all my stuff, what hast thou found of all thy household stuff? set it here before my brethren and thy brethren, that they may judge betwixt us both.
-- Gen. 31:37 (KJV)
Jacob had a legitimate gripe in this verse because Laban claimed that he stole his idols, but nothing was found. Actually, Laban would have found them if his daughter wasn't hiding them from him. Plus, she did not tell her husband that she took the idols from her father. In marriage, communication between a husband and a wife must be the primary focus.
