Canada’s First Transgender Candidate for Miss Universe Almost Win

Transgender Miss Universe Contestant Interview with Barbara Walters: Jenna Talackova Exclusive

After some debates and talks whether to allow transgender contestants to join Miss Universe pageant, Jenna Talackova almost win the crown to represent Miss Canada this December. Yet, the crown went to an Indian born and Iranian raised actress living in Vancouver- Miss Sahar Biniaz.

As for Talackova, she said she won’t take her transgender status as somewhat the affecting factor why she losses the pageant. She said she believed the judges did their job very well and that she knew there are something on the top 5 candidates that the judges saw that’s why they were chosen. On the other hand, Talackova’s joining the pageant is not for nothing because she did finished as one of the top 12 semi-finalists as well as she bagged the Miss Congeniality award.

Born as Walter Talackova, she said she would do everything to get a crown including walking in bikini because she believed that somehow it can inspire many people around the world.
