A suicidal blast in Yemen killed at least 96 soldiers and injured 300, in the capital Sanaa on Monday.
A suicidal bomber in an army uniform blew himself during a dress rehearsal parade to celebrate the 22nd anniversary of the unification of north and south Yemen, a military official said.
Witnesses said remains of the deads were scattered at Sanaa's Sabeen Square, where the Yemeni government often holds large military parades.
If the death toll is correct, the attack is the most deadly since president Abdrabuh Mansur Hadi took power in February with a warning to fight against Al Qaeda's in the county.
Since the offensive began, 213 people have been killed, according to a tally compiled by AFP, including 147 Al-Qaeda fighters, 31 military personnel, 18 local militiamen and 17 civilians.
