Pakistan restored their access to Twitter on Monday after blocking the popular microbloging site due to posting of content that deemed an affront to Muslims. Sunday when the muslim country block the site for some material considered to be offensive to the Muslim community.
Spokesperson for Pakistan's Ministry of Information Technology said that the action wasgiven after Twitter never remove the links and references taking place on Facebook to post images of prophet Mohammed. As it was remembered that Pakistan did same action to Facebook in May 2010 for posting images of Mohammed particularly. The Everybody Draw Mohammed Day Facebook page offended many Pakistanis as Islam discourages any visual representation of God or prophets like Mohammed.
Pakistan is a wide user of Twitter having six million account holders including politicians and celebrities. Some account holders condemns for blocking Twitter and citing that freedom of speech is an inviolable right.
