Lafayette Louisiana. Mickey Shunick, 21, who has been missing since Saturday morning is being searched by members of her family and the Lafayette bicycling community.
Shunick was last seen Saturday morning riding a black and gold bicycle from her friend located on Saints Street in Lafayette.
The Shunick family and friends have organized a search team meeting at the 100 block of Ryan Street Sunday morning at 10:30. They are asking anybody to join the search team to distrubute flyers in the Lafayette area.
A friend of Shunick said Mickey missed the graduation of her brother which was an event she was looking forward to seeing.
Members of the Bike Lafayette team and several social postings said Shunick was riding home from her friends home to her home located on the intersection of Congess Street and Ambassador Caffery Parkway. But she never made it home.
The Shunick family is asking anybody who knows where Mickey is to call the Lafayette Police Department at 337-291-8600 or her mother Nancy Shunick at 337 277 2751.
