Diablo 3 is finally out!
We wish to express our sincere thanks to everyone who attended the festivities for Diablo III this week, and also to everyone who prepared to enter the world of Sanctuary as soon as the servers were aired.
With that in mind, we would also like to say that your enthusiasm has taught us a lesson in humility. We sincerely sorry that his crusade to overturn the Lord of Fear was committed, not by demons and minions of evil, but by a deadly and fragile infrastructure. As many of you already know, the technical problems that occurred during the first few hours after the release of the game resulted in error messages and difficulties to login. And once again, last night, these problems haunting the servers from the Americas and Europe. Despite aggressive enough, our projections for the release of the game preparations were not high enough.
We're monitoring the game 12:0 am a day and has already implemented several improvements to help our systems to deal with the "global rush". Since yesterday night, specifically at 11:50 p.m PDT on May 15, all systems remained online and running relatively well. We will continue monitoring the performance of servers around the globe and we will take reasonable steps to ensure that everyone has a game experience is positive. This includes some maintenance to implement additional improvements in each of the regions.
To ensure that all can work fluidly, decided to postpone the release date of the auction house with real money; previously scheduled for the day 22 May. More updates on this will be published in the near future.
In addition to the large amount of players logging into the game at the same time, one of the problems encountered on launch day was linked to the system of achievements. From the beginning, some players began to notice that the achievements were not being properly acquired or were not being recorded between a login and others. At the moment we are still investigating this issue and will update you as soon as possible.
Once again, we would like to thank the support from everyone and asking sincere apologies for the difficulties that many found in these early days. Please visit our support site or support forum for more updates about the service or to request aid around technical issues you may be encountering during the process of downloading, installing or playing the game.
