Legendary Disco Singer Donna Summer Dies at 63

After a battle with lung cancer for ten months, the "Queen of Disco", Donna Summer, has died on Thursday, May 17, 2012, at the age of 63 in Englewood, Florida. Summer ruled the charts in the late 1970s and continued to steam it up till the 1980s and even after 30 years. Her hits included "Love To Love You Baby", "Hot Stuff", "I Feel Love", "MacArthur Park", "Bad Girls", "State of Independence", "She Works Hard For The Money" and "Carry On". Summer was a private person. Many were surprised by her death since she had made no public acknowledgement. Now, she is survived by her daughters Mimi, Brooklyn and Amanda - all adults. The last two children were by her second husband, Bruce Sudano. While Mimi was by her first husband, actor Helmuth Summer. For more details on her, visit Yahoo News.
