The Platform for those Affected by Mortgages estimates that 300 families are still being evicted every day across Spain

Seventy aggrieved people have prepared themselves to give evidence in a bitter courtroom battle in an attempt to recover 1.5million euros in lost off-plan deposits for homes in sunny Spain.

The hearing expected to last at least four days has been brought against developer CLEYTON GES and CAJA DE AHORROS DEL MEDITERRANEO ( LIQUIDATED CAMBANK) for properties that were never completed and in some cases not even started.

The hearing at HELLIN court has been brought by FINCA PARKS ACTION GROUP and also involves another development " LAS HIGUERICAS FINCA PARKS DEVELOPMENT 15km. away.

With the dire state of the Spanish economy it is looking a forlorn hope at this time, and despite the fraud that has taken place the perpetrators have not been brought to trial so far.

This case is by no means the only instance in the Valencian region. Other expats are facing the prospect of being evicted from homes they have paid for in full by banks because the developer had taken out mortgages on the properties after having sold them and the banks auctioning them off and bailiffs waiting to serve and carry out eviction orders. Outrageous and scandalous.
