Mary Kennedy, Ex-Wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Found Dead at 52
Mary Richardson Kennedy, the ex-wife of prominent environmentalist Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., was found dead in her Mount Kisco, New York, home today, about an hour outside of New York City. "Police confirm that a deceased person was located inside the home at approximately 1:36 pm" Robert F. Kennedy, 58, filed for divorce from Mary Kennedy, 52 and an active philanthropist and environmentalist herself, in 2010. They have four children. Mary Kennedy's family released the following statement: "We deeply regret the death of our beloved sister Mary, whose radiant and creative spirit will be sorely missed by those who loved her. Our heart goes out to her children who she loved without reservation."
