The slippery big cat known as the ‘Beast of Bont’ is apparently still active in the mountain ranges of Aberystwyth.
The big cat has been on the loose for decades and it has left its footprints and proof of its existence quite recently by massacring 20 sheep – and leaving the bloody remains scattered all over the countryside.
This has been reported in The Telegraph dated 16th of May 2012.
The mutilated carcasses were literally torn to shreds in the moorland of Devil’s Bridge in the Cambrian Mountains near Aberystwyth
The elusive ‘puma like’ creature had last been seen in the 1970s and there have been sightings reported from time to time from Borth, Talybont, Talgarreg and Bontgoch.
The specialist vets in the Ministry of Agriculture have examined the carcass of the sheep and other remains and are of the opinion that it appears to be the work of some animal much more powerful than any dog or fox.
Who knows whether the ‘Beast of Bont’ is another unknown entity like Nessie, the Loch Ness monster or Yeti, the abominable snowman of the Himalayan Mountains?
