The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force in Chicago is currently investigating the death of a newlywed woman found with multiple stabs in her apartment on Sunday, still wearing her bridal gown.

Estrella Carrera, 26 was last seen by her family on Friday after getting married with the father of her youngest child, the Chicago tribune reported. When the mother of two failed to pick up the children in her father’s home Maruette Park, they started to worry about her.

Police discovered Carrera’s body in her Burbank apartment, stabbed to death in a dry bath tub, report says. As of Monday, no suspect was named and authorities believed that the victim was in a domestic dispute with someone, which led to her death.

Reportedly, Carrera, a Spanish-language translator was in an on-and-off relationship with her new husband but police did not disclose his name as he was not charge with the crime.

Her neighbors described Carrera as a quiet person.
