Like her last show, Poppy Montgomery is gone Without a Trace, as CBS decides not to pick up Unforgettable for a second season.
Based on a short story, the series starred Montgomery as Carrie Wells, a NYPD detective with the rare ability to remember everything.
Unforgettable premiered to strong ratings last fall, and the show remained a solid performer on Tuesdays at 10p, as well as promoted by CBS as "the new hit drama".
However, CBS' loss is ABC's gain with the renewal of Body of Proof, with Emmy winneras Dr. Megan Hunt, the headstrong medical examiner who could be the female equivalent of Dr. Gregory House.
The show suffered the "sophomore slump" on Tuesdays at 10p, yet growing ratings from the last few episodes may have been enough for ABC to bring Body of Proof back for a third season.
