A vast array of artistic performances and shows will be held in Singapore during the 2012 edition of the Singapore Arts Festival, running from May 18th to June 2nd 2012.
(TRAVPR.COM) UK - May 14th, 2012 - The Singapore Arts Festival 2012 will commence on May 18th and is set to treat visitors to dozens of thought-provoking and fascinating performances.
Based around the title Our Lost Poems, the 16-day event runs until June 2nd 2012 and will aim to explore stories ranging from myths and legends to idle thoughts and enigmatic riddles, via a number of different artistic media.
Participating artists hail from nations as diverse as India, China, New Zealand, Sweden, Germany, Israel, Canada and the UK, as well as Singapore itself.
Highlights include Mark Chan's musical spectacular Flight of the Jade Bird, the End of the Road concert by the Young@Heart over-70s choir and the Haruki Murakami adaptation Wind Up Bird Chronicle.
A Kids Art Village will be organised to engage younger attendees, while the Festival Village provides a range of programmes and activities for all to enjoy.
Many of the performances will be free to enter, while discounts are available for those booking tickets for the premium events in bulk.
