Forty-nine dead bodies were found on Sunday morning at kilometer 47 of the Monterrey-Reynosa highway in northern Mexico , close to the U.S. border , including 43 men and six women some of the them mutilated , federal agents said , reports AFP.
The 49 decapitated bodies found on early hours of Sunday 2:00 am (local time) by Mexican police who closed the free road for 6 houres, police found message on a wall near the site refer to the Zetas drug cartel according to CNN.
"This continues to be violence between criminal groups. This is not an attack against the civilian population" said Nuevo Leon's state security spokesman.
Earlier , Mexican police found 23 bodies abandoned or hanged in the city of Nuevo Laredo, and 18 others in south of Guadalajara according to AFP.
