Riot In Istanbul

With a nil-nil draw yesterday between Turkish rivals Galatasaray and Fenerbahce in Istanbul, Galatasaray won the Super Lig by one point over Fenerbahce.

However, the home crowd of Fenerbahce at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium were extra pissed off that their beloved club was second to its biggest rival in the same town. As soon as the game ended, fans began to run onto the pitch and started throwing items at the riot police. Fans also threw flares from the stands.

The riot spilled outside of the stadium and into the streets. Fans watching the game from home piled out into the streets and began smashing store windows. The police were forced to use tear gas and water cannons to disperse the riot.

From the video, you can see why nobody goes to war with Turkey. The Turkish riot better than anyone.
