And Jacob answered and said to Laban, Because I was afraid: for I said: Peradventure thou wouldest take by force thy daughters from me.

-- Gen. 31:31 (KJV)

Laban was trying to find out why Jacob left without warning. Jacob admits that he was afraid. Doing things out of fear always ends up with negative occurrences in the future. Jacob further explains why he was afraid; he didn't want his wives taken away from him. Instead of primarily focusing on God's command to move, he was thinking about getting some. Prioritize. Do God's commands first. Then, get yours.

Numerical Analysis: The numerical pattern for this verse is 4,8,3,1. (4) To stay in God's Word, speak correctly. (8) To have a new beginning in God, do not be afraid. (3) To stay in the Spirit, never assume anything. (1) To stay in the anointing, never assume anything.
