Four French travelers wanted to spend their holidays in the Scottish Island of Jura but, had inadvertently, booked hotels which were certainly not anywhere near the Island of Jura.
If they had not realized their mistake in time and gone ahead with their travel plans, it would have landed them in a comedy of errors.
The men wanted to book the Isle of Jura Hotel but had actually reserved rooms in Hotel Le Jura which was in France itself as reported in BBC date 11th of May 2012.
Their booking had been done in French and they had paid in Euros. It seems the Isle of Jura Hotel was fully booked and the management was stumped when they showed up with documents of booking – only, it was for the Hotel Le Jura in France!!!
Anyway, the management of Isle of Jura Hotel went out of their way to make special arrangements to accommodate the French tourists.
The group had wanted to see the Corryvreckan whirlpool – believed to be the third largest in the world. It occurs in a narrow strait between Jura and Scarba in Argyll and Bute and this was the best time to see it.
