Time Magazine’s controversial cover – mom breastfeeds son (Photo)

Time Magazine Shows Mom Breastfeeding Son Who Is Almost 4 Year Old

When the latest weekly issue of Time Magazine came out, it was met with shock and applause. The cover showed a woman who is breastfeeding her 3 year old son.

The woman in the photo is Jamie Lynne Grumet who is a 26 year old stay-at-home mother in Los Angeles. The main issue with the cover is that some readers questioned why Grumet was chosen. Breastfeeding has been around for generations so why place a woman who is blonde, slim and is fit to be a model.

The cover quickly spread like wild fire on the web especially on Twitter. Some tweeted that the baby in the photo will be teased when he grows up. Despite all the comments, Time has yet to receive any concern from retailers displaying the issue. People have had mixed feelings on the cover but it is still selling. thanks jinkinpark i've seen many women breastfeeding their kids but the boy from the cover was a little surprise to me because he should be drinking his milk straight from the glass :-)^^^

Thanks for the comments. Yes, he should be drinking from the glass. but the mom said she ws still breastfeeding until she was 6 years old. so I think she wants to pass that thing to her son.
