Over 12 million viewers tuned in Monday for the season four finale of Castle, where a soaking wet Beckett (Stana Katic) knocks on Castle (Nathan Fillion)'s door for one reason only: him.
That probably gave ABC all the more reason to renew this mystery comedy-drama procedural for a fifth season.
Since debuting as a mid-season replacement in 2009, Castle has developed a growing fan base about Richard Castle, the handsome best-selling crime novelist who consults on cases with strong-willed NYPD detective Kate Beckett.
As the tagline goes: he's armed, she's dangerous, as the pair solves the most difficult murders while dealing with the sexual tension that has been building between them over the last four seasons, which reached its climax with their first official kiss.
The only question remains, though: will Castle break the so-called Moonlighting curse? If so, how?
Show creator Andrew W. Marlowe answers that during his interview with TVGuide.com
