RIM Launches 5 BlackBerry Smartphones in Philippines

9.5 for RIM said Tuesday, the U.S. Defense Department recently approved six BlackBerry 7 phones are allowed to use the networkof the agency after a series of rigorous tests for safety.

According to Reuters, the U.S. military and Pentagon employeeshave long been using the device (or say exactly is mobile)BlackBerry, but the latest version of the BlackBerry need to gothrough the censorship governmental consent before beingallowed in the "sensitive roles", where data leakage can causeharm to national security.

The BlackBerry is the U.S. Defense Department issued travel documents this time are running BlackBerry 7.

RIM said there are about 250,000 BlackBerry smartphones areused by the Pentagon, and even U.S. President Barack Obamaalso uses a special version of the BlackBerry.
