Thai police fired teargas on Friday at protesters who have occupied the grounds of Government House since Tuesday.

Police say around 13,000 protesters are inside the compound. The protesters are calling for the ouster of Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej, who they accuse of being a proxy for ousted former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
