
When a local TV station News 10 cameras caught the end of the chase in Stockton, California was out taping a routine story.Their camaras caught officers chasing down and beating an unarmed Black man who seemed set to be yet another victim of police brutality.
Bariki Wiltz,is no stranger to the law. In 2006 and 2007, he pleaded no contest to petty theft charges. In 2008, he was charged with battery on a spouse, but that battery charge was dismissed.
As police review the incident, a key piece of evidence is cellphone video captured by Stockton store owner Cynthia Guerra. Guerra was working at her gift shop when a Stockton police officer tried to arrest Wiltz. Police said he was drunk and refused to leave the plaza.
