yoghurt good for health

A study carried out in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has shown that a regular diet of yoghurt can improve the sexual prowess of mice apart from making them slimmer as has been reported in mailonline dated 8th of May 2012.

The study was undertaken by researchers Eric Alm and Susan Erdman – they wanted to find out if yoghurt could help stave off age-related weight gain in humans. They, therefore, fed the lab mice with pro-biotic vanilla yogurt and the results were most unexpected.

The male mice got sexier and the females acquired an additional shine on their furs and became more doting and caring mothers to their litters.

A technician in the MIT lab revealed the reason for the increase in sex appeal of mice fed on yoghurt – it was their testicles. This male organ was 5% bigger than mice on normal diet and 15% bigger than mice that usually depend on human junk-food diet.

Whether these results can be extended to cover human beings have not been established as yet.
