Prince Harry arrives at Washington for his humanitarian award

Harry awarded for military charity work 23.04.12

Prince Harry of Great Britain arrives in Washington on Monday to receive an award for his humanitarian works.

Harry has been working on charitable works for wounded soldiers. Those include Walking with the Wounded, a British charity that retrains and re-educates veterans, and Help for Heroes, which helps wounded servicemen and women. In 2007 he was with the team in Afghanistan as he worked as an air controller for 10 weeks.

He urged the Americans and British to work together to heal and support wounded war veterans, pooing expertise and experience.
