Kristen Stewart walked the red carpet at the 2012 Met Gala on Monday night, May 7th in New York City. The Snow White and the Huntsman actress sparkled in a strapless Balenciaga Fall 2012 RTW animal print digital dress.

Stewart is the face of the new fall 2012 Balenciaga fragrance so it was probable that she would wear a dress from the designer Monday evening.

Stewart was recently panned by The Daily Mail for her scruffy street look even though Glamour Magazine UK has named her the best dressed woman of 2012.

The Breaking Dawn actress was photographed over the weekend in New York City with her bodyguard. Stewart wore a black hoodie, a black baseball cap that her and her Twilight co-star, Robert Pattinson, tend to share from time to time and dark skinny jeans and sunglasses hanging from her pocket.

Next up for Stewart is a massive press junket for Snow White and the Huntsman starring Stewart, Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron. In the next week Stewart will be jetting off to Cannes Film Festival to debut the highly anticipated movie adaptation of Jack Keroauc's beloved book, On The Road. She will be joined by her On The Road co-stars, Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley. Robert Pattinson will also be at Cannes premiering his upcoming film, Cosmopolis.
