just married

Here is some Good News - the two US hikers Shane Bauer and Sarah Shourd who had been arrested by Iran in 2009 after they had, inadvertently, strayed into Iran from Iraq on one of their hiking trips, have now got married in California.

This has been reported in BBC dated 6th of May 2012.

It may be recalled that they had been arrested by Iran on charges of espionage and, while Sarah Shourd was released on bail after 14-months, her two companions Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal were released only in September-2011.

When they were in prison in Iran, Shane Bauer and Sarah Shourd had decided to get married and had exchanged their shirts as an in-lieu of an engagement ring.

Their wedding has now been solemnized and the couple has taken off in their honeymoon to an undisclosed destination.

Josh Fattal was the best man.

Let us join in wishing them a hasppy married life.
