David Beckham, former captain of England’s national soccer team, has jumped on to the top of Britain's Rich List from No. 2 last year after he boosted his wealth by 25 million pounds, or 19 percent and that does not include wife Victoria’s personal £30m wad.
Beckham has deals with brands including Adidas, Samsung, Sainsbury’s, perfume-maker Coty and H&M – whose underwear he models.
He owns £13.6m13,000-square-foot plot, six-bedroom Italian-style villa on San Ysidro Drive in Beverly Hills,£7.5m Hertfordshire mansion in England and £5m flat in Dubai.
London-born Beckham hopes to make the Team GB squad to play in the Olympics in his home city this summer.
The Sunday Times also ranked Beckham 10th in its list of the world's richest sports figures, a group led by golferwith an estimated 538 million pounds.
Not a single woman made the list.
