"The Avengers" was released on Friday, earning around $80.5 million on its opening day, making Joss Whedon and Marvel Studios' super hero movie the second biggest opening in the history of U.S. cinema.

The figure also includes the midnight opening, which witnessed "The Avengers" receiving $18.7 million and getting placed as the super hero film with best midnight opening ever, leaving behind super hit “The Dark Knight”.

As of now, "The Avengers" has collected almost $334.3 million internationally for a grand total of $414.8 million, and it aims to hit the $500 million mark by the end of this weekend.

"The Avengers" is a highly inspiring movie with wonderful special effects, strong script and brave heroes.

In the movie, aliens plan with Thor's evil brother, Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, to steal an energy source called Tesseract, which will never run out, and destroy planet Earth. Nick Fury, director of the International Peacekeeping Agency known as shield, finds himself in need of a group to save the world from the impending doom. All over the planet, a tough recruitment process begins. Agent Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) assembles a special group of heroes (Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye) whose developing relationships suggest nuance of their personalities.

The script of the movie is written by director Joss Whedon and aims to provide equal chance to each of the talented actors. The ending of the movie is so intense and heartwarming that it fills the viewer with patriotism after the last crucial fight.

"The Avengers" is a great film and highly pleasing for anyone who loves super heroes, action movies, Joss Whedon, or entertainment in general. The company invested four long years in this project and the hard work has been rewarded in terms of a super hit movie. "The Avengers" has proved itself as one of the best ensemble, action flicks ever. The movie has claimed the top position on the Box Office charts and gotten positive feedback in many reviews.
