On an empty school bus, a scared little girl was trapped for four hours and was rescued only when another driver heard her screams, her mother said yesterday.
The mother, Letecia Saabedra wants to punch the driver who did this to her 4-year-old daughter, Karlita who was supposedly left behind Wednesday afternoon on a Consolidated Bus Transit school bus on Staten Island. She not only want to punch the driver but also she wants him fired, she told The Post.
Well, she got her wish. The driver Felix Del Valle, 50, and bus matron Lucila Cruz, 58, were now out of job, said Peter Silverman, a lawyer for Consolidated.
Del Valle and Cruz told the police that they checked the back of the bus, according to a court complaint. They are accused of endangering the welfare of a child.
