Patricia Krenteil, the Jersey mom accused of toasting her 5-year-old daughter in a tanning booth soften down yesterday, raging that she’s an exceptional mother and the victim of “fat and ugly” critics who are “envious’’ of her beautiful bronzed body.

Krentcil astonishingly thin-skinned despite innumerable hours spent burning up under UV lamps spent much of the day lurching around her hometown of Nutley insulting to trailing reporters that she’s a amazing mom and nobody understands her.

Krenteil told a reporter in a video interview outside her salon that there is somebody out there that doesn’t like her because they are jealous, fat and they’re ugly. Any mother who makes an accusation about her is not a mother, because she’s a great mother. She would never do that to her child, she added.

Peeking her head out of a second floor window of her two story home, the 44-year-old mother fumed to the media. She was asked whether she’ll go on with her tanning, she said, some days she tan more than others. It’s the same thing like drinking coffee in some days and some days you don’t.

Prosecutors claimed that Krentcil took little Anna to a local tanning salon and let the fair-skinned girl get so burnt up that a school nurse dropped a dime. Krenteil is free on $25,000 bail.
