At least 12 people killed and 110 others wounded in a bomb blast last Thursday on Dagestan region. So far, the attack was considered the deadliest this month and it happened just three days before Vladimir Putin will be sworn in office as president.
Two suicide bombers, a man and a woman were suspected of the incident. The first bomb was detonated at a police post outside Makhachkala, when police stopped a vehicle to check documents. The second blast happened when fire brigades and ambulances arrived for rescue. A witness saw a fire truck being reduced to charred wreckage.
According to Reuters, fragments of human bodies are scattered at the post including the remains of the two suicide bombers. The 90 people wounded were brought to hospital for treatment and the other 20 people injured were treated at the scene.
