Patricia Krentcil of New Jersey has been charged with child felony and child endangerment and released on a bond of $25,000 as reported in New York Post of 3rd May 2012.

The tanorexic mom had, apparently, brought her 5-year old daughter into the tanning booth of the City Tropic Tanning salon in Nutley, New Jersey.

The incident came to light when a school nurse in the kid’s school noticed tan on the child – when asked how she got the tan, the child apparently replied that she had been to a tanning booth with her mother and goes out tanning with her mother!!

However, Patricia denied that she had ever brought her daughter for tanning - she insisted that she is a good mother and the two go out together for shopping. She also lashed out against her critics saying that they were jealous of her and were fat and ugly.

The owner of the tanning booth has commented that in case any 5-year old girl goes to a tanning booth for a tan, she would burn to death.
