The National Park Foundation says two former presidents and the speaker of the U.S. House will host a May fundraiser in Washington for Flight 93 National Memorial. The May 15 benefit will be hosted by Bill Clinton, George W Bush and House Speaker John Boehner.
They are trying to get enough money to complete the memorial including a "Tower of Voices" containing 40 huge wind chimes and a learning center.
They have already raised $62 million and can open the first part of the memorial. The memorial is in Shanksville, PA which is 75 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.
Another 14 million is needed to finish it.
Clinton said to the Associated Press, "To finish building the memorial it is our duty to those on Flight 93 who gave their lives on September 11."
Bush told the Associated Press, "the heroes aboard flight 93 left behind a legacy of bravery or selflessness that will always inspire us. What happened above that Pennsylvania field ranks among the most courageous cuts in our history.
