On Saturday, a graphic designer died in mysterious circumstances while inside the garage of her parents’ house. Lifeless body of 25-year-old Katie Wilkins was discovered by her brother. Victim’s parents were out of the town for the weekend, said police.
The death of young and promising graphic designer occurred in upscale neighbourhood of Malibu, a quiet Californian vicinity. Police report revealed that several bizarre circumstances were associated with the young girl’s mysterious death. The 1998 BMW Z3 (convertible) under Katie’s use was missing and political believe the vehicle was stolen from the garage.
Similarly, the entire doors to the house were found locked; the family dog was discovered wandering in the neighbourhood; a washing machine still ran when cops arrived; and they even found stove burning with food still cooking. Although police strongly believe ‘no foul play’ was involved; the parents however insisted that their daughter had company when she died.
Older brother of Miss Wilkins, Steve Wilkins’s reportedly visited the parents' house to check on his sister. However, he was shocked to discover Katie’s cold and limp body that lay on the concrete garage floor. The family believed Miss Wilkins certainly had at least one other person’s company. They further insisted that when the girl died; panicked, the person fled the home riding the stolen BMW.
Following an autopsy, the Sheriff’s Los Angeles County Office ruled the foul play out; the results didn’t reveal any cause(s) of death. The detectives are frantically looking for both; the missing BMW and the person(s) riding the same.
