Skooter reporting 05/01/12
The Kalaonian agents met Doc RJ and Kim somewhere in Somervile but later Ghedoria decided to bring them to the highest point of Boston which is Bellevue Hill. The couple was amazed of their sudden change of environment. The four of them were at 330 ft. above sea level. Doc RJ and Kim didn’t bother to ask the Kalaonians why do they have to bring them up there when they could comfortably talk in Somervile or perhaps somewhere in Back Bay. Meantime, they were unbelievably watching the fantastic view of Boston that was spread before them.
Kim admitted that this was her first time to see the state capital and its coastline in full view. Beyond she could see the headquarters of Church of Christ in the Back Bay, and the tall buildings of Prudential Tower. Ghedoria approached them and told them that the place was the right atmosphere to talk how to defeat their common enemy. The humid subtropical climate sympathized to their cause and would also help them create some good strategical ideas.
“Did you say, Antiochus or Antiriah whatever his name is, has a shieldron? Is that what you call it?” Doc RJ asked. “And your paralysis handgun couldn’t penetrate?” Rubbing his chin, he stared at the Kalaonians. “This is a problem indeed.”
Kim joined in the conversation, “what we have in our hands, we aren’t sure if it will work however, it had an effect on Ptolomy. But there’s one way our enemy can be stopped…” She glanced at them once and went on. “we can surprise him by appearing suddenly at two fronts before he could use the shield.”
“You mean…” Savaniah said. “you’re going to appear to him first before we do?” Kim smiled and replied, “Right!. You know why? It’s because Antiochus knew that we didn’t know about the shield, so he would be too relax not to use the shield. Meantime we’ll keep him busy first and then you go in.”
Savaniah thought about it for a while and then shook his head, “we are facing an enemy that got brains. He could not be trapped that easy.”
“Do you have other suggestions?” Doc RJ said. Before the Kalaonians answered the query, all four walked towards a wooded area. There they continued talking about some other ways to beat their common enemy.
Thomas James surprised Jennifer, he stood in the midst of an open door smiling before her. They hugged for long, and then they have lively conversations over a cup of coffee in the open patio overlooking a field of flowering plants. Their conversation shifted to RJ.
Jennifer told TJ that his presence will be a massive surprise for his son. She further told him that RJ was somewhere in Somerville with his fiancée. In a matter of minutes now, the couple would be back. “So, what brought you here so suddenly?” The old lady asked.
“You wouldn’t believe this, mom.” TJ said. A week ago, someone behind my back told me that my son is in trouble.”
“You mean you have a premonition?” Jennifer bit her lips, a sign of nervousness. “You may call it that way.” TJ replied sighing.
“Well, that someone is totally wrong,” she said smiling wryly. “You just don’t know RJ is happy here and made lots of friend. He is being loved by everybody. Who would harm him anyway?”
“I hope you’re right, mom.” TJ caught a deep breath and glanced at his wristwatch. He rose from his seat, then told her mother that he was going to visit an old friend in the University campus and be back before dinner.
Entering Harvard, he went straight south where his old friend Dr. Richard Norris, a well known cardiologist and confidentially a psychic that only Thomas James knew who he really was. Standing in front of a well polished wooden door, he started to push the button of a doorbell. He heard it chimed. Soon the door opened. Dr. Norris was surprised to see his long lost friend. It’s been too decades since they last met.
Inside, Thomas James was impressed of Dr. Norris spacious, well lit office. The man had an impressive height of six two, lean built, and clean shaven. He had deep seated eyes, and on the center was a well chiseled nose, and on top, a bushy brown hair. Overall, he was at least an attractive middle age man.
Half hour of serious conversation, the topic changed to supernatural. The guest told the host that he had a son doctor in the campus taking post-graduate studies. But before he could give his son’s name, Doc Norris already heard about the boy but he hadn’t met him yet. That was how popular his son was, he told him.
“He’s in trouble, huh.” Dr. Norris appeared not surprised. The old friend confessed to TJ that he heard about his boy only in the school newsletters. He was surprised at his young age already a professional, a very rare case indeed. Sometime that year, he tried to pass his hand over RJ’s photograph that was featured in one of the school newsletters. Just as he expected, something strange happened. Behind the boy’s picture, he could see that there was someone, a shadow; he couldn’t figure out.
Thomas James asked if that someone was evil or benevolent? Dr. Norris didn’t give an answer right away. He hesitated for a while whether he would tell his pal the truth or not. So instead of answering him directly, he led the guest to a room that was located at the north end of his office. Dr. Norris approached a floor to ceiling book shelf, pressed a hidden button under and it automatically opened. Behind the shelf was an empty room except for one reclining chair in the center. The walls were acoustically treated and painted white except one was in purple. At the center of that wall hang a yen and yan logo. At the top center was a red incandescent bulb.
While they were there, the host explained to the guest the whole set up of the room and how it works against cantankerous spirits. Coming in to this room was Dr. Norris answer to Dr. Thomas James de Montehor’s query.
Dr. Norris told his guest that once the evil spirit is trapped inside the room, it cannot get out due to the magnetic power of yin and yang or the symbol of Taijitu that will hold the spirit until it is destroyed and become a zilch. The protagonist would be sitting outside the room uttering strange incantation in which Dr. Norris was the only one who knew what the prayers were. While the subject spirit will be strapped instantly on the reclining chair once he settled on it. Then the red incandescent bulb would flicker until the evil one becomes nothing.
Then TJ asked Dr. Norris how he would lure the bad spirit.
“You can’t lure the spirit unless you call him by his name,” he replied. “It is important then that you must know the background of the evil subject before you can entice him to join you in this room,” he said.
TJ cannot believe his son has an evil spirit behind his genius and wondered why he was chosen as the vehicle of the spirit’s evil intention. What is his intention anyway? TJ asked in silence. I must talk to RJ tonight, he thought.
Thomas James bid goodbye to his pal hugging each other before he left. He was about to get into his car, when a man drew near to him and asked, “Excuse me sir. Pardon me of my curiosity.” The doctor was stunned at first, but then he gave a nod. “I saw you came out from the office of Dr. Richard Norris,” he said. “Are you friend of the doctor?”
Again Thomas James gave a nod. “I just don’t understand sir, why you came out there when in fact for two years now, Dr. Norris is gone. What I mean, there is no one there.”
