(Check It Out! Pictures!) Chad Dawson won the WBC light heavyweight title after beating the old warrior Bernard Hopkins through majority decision in their fight match which held at the Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, New Jersey on Saturday night, April 28, 2012.

Not like what happened in their first fight last October which resulted to a controversial decision, the 29-year-old southpaw claimed the title with a very clear decision. The young pugilist used speed and effective punching which confused the 47-year old Hopkins for most of the rounds. Hopkins uses some of his dirty tricks that gave a cut on Dawson’s left eye in the fourth round but did not affect the focus of his younger opponent.

Here’s the final scorecards:

judge: Dick Flaherty 117-111 | judge: Luis Rivera 114-114 | judge: Steve Weisfeld 117-111
