Fears about Duchess Kate’s weight have been cropping up intermittently. This issue is once again rearing it head considering the fact that the former Kate Middleton is looking slimmer in her latest appearances. Moot point is, is the Duchess of Cambridge, too thin for her own good?

Speculation is rife among concerned royal watchers, who are asking the question in hushed tones, even as the world media is going gaga over Kate Middleton and Prince William’s first year anniversary of marriage tomorrow. After all as any sensible person in the world will sermonize, health needs to come first always.
As Kate Middleton’s weight plummets, there are specific concerns expressed considering the history of weight troubles besieging her own mother-in-law, the late Princess Diana, Prince William’s mother. It is a well-known fact that Princess Diana through the years suffered from bulimia an eating disorder, which left her painfully thin.
Some sources inform that Kate Middleton’s weight has plunged to 42 kg (92.60 pounds) which for a 5ft 10 inches brunette is quite alarming. Speaking to Star magazine, Lisa DeFazio, a nutrition expert opines: “She looks malnourished. Her face appears gaunt. She looks tired.”
This fact has not gone unnoticed by Prince William himself, as according to a source he is well aware of his mother’s struggles with bulimia brought on mainly due to royal pressures. In March this year both Hollywood Life and Life & Style reported that the Duke was contemplating an “urgent intervention” to tackle his spouse’s weight loss issue, which many believe has been brought on by voluntary rigorous exercise and dieting.
It may be noted that some time back even Kate Middleton’s mother Carole expressed her anxiety over her daughter’s weight. A friend of Carole, told Now magazine ‘Kate comes from a slim-built family but her mum looks at how skinny she's become and is telling her to eat more.' Further the friend stated ‘She worries that Kate's pushing herself too hard and not looking after herself by eating balanced meals.'
But not all are in such a fatalistic mode with regard to Duchess Kate’s health. Ingrid Seward, the Editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine believes that Kate Middleton’s “transformation into a highly regarded member of the royal family is nearly complete”. According to Seward, Kate is now the Duchess of Cambridge who happens to be “a striking woman who is comfortable speaking in public, going to charity events.”
