Girls’ primary school blown up IN Landikota.

A private and temporary based girls’ primary school was blown up by installing explosive material to it by unknown militants on Friday night here at Sheikhmal Khel,tehsil in Landi kotal sub-division of Khyber Agency, official and local sources informed.

Bahadar Khan Shinwari, the owner of the property said that after the destruction of the government primary school Dr. Aslam kaley Sheikhmal Khel, female effected students had been recently shifted to the building freely on humanitarian basis. Last night unknown militants jumped into the building and planted two explosive devices to it which burst at 1:55 am razed four rooms, a veranda and the boundary wall to ground, he lamented. No casualty was reported, sources said. Soon after the incident the administration and forces officials rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area and collected evidences for investigation, sources said.

So far 85 state-run government schools have been targeted in Khyber agency in the ongoing militancy in the area. This was the first ever bomb explosion in Landikotal after the situation had got normalized, which has alerted the administration and the security forces in the areas.
