Samsung the first in sales , overcoming Nokia of mobile phones and smartphones

The first quarter of 2012 Nokia lost its leading position in sales of mobile phones. Finnish company surpassed Samsung. South Korean company is also ahead of Apple in the smartphone market.

According to the London-based Strategy Analytics, from January to March 2012Samsung sold 36 percent of mobile devices more than a year ago (93.5 million vs. 68.9million), winning a quarter of their market. Nokia has sold 82.7 million phones.

Sales of smartphones the company has increased three times a year, mainly due to the line of Galaxy. As a result, Samsung captured 30.6 percent of the global smartphone market, leaving Apple in second place with 24.1 percent. As a result, net income increased Korean company to a record 4.44 billion dollars.
