Bangus Festival in Dagupan City
Aside from the celebrating Pangasinan’s traditional Pista’y Dayat or Sea festival, Bangus festival (or Milkfish festival) has become one of the most exciting events in the Philippines. It’s an annual festival in Dagupan City, Pangasinan that occurs every month of April. The Bangus festival highlights the Dagupeño’s rich fishing agriculture and their world-renowned bangus which is the national fish of the Philippines. It celebrates the province's Bonuan bangus, which is notable for its unique taste. It is claimed to be the longest running festival in the country, that is being held for one whole month beginning on April and climaxing on May every year. The city is well-known as the Bangus Capital of the Philippines due to its abundance of fresh Bangus. The city's name came from the word "pandaragupan" in the local Pangasinan language which means "gathering place". One of the Dagupan's festival events is dancing on the streets; it is one of the mainstay activities from its take-off summer and made it into a competition. It's a best-man-wins kinda thing!
Instead of just sitting with a pop-corn and watching Free XxX why not mingle and experience something new? Like joining in the Bangus Festival?
