Frankfurt, Germany - 39 days after he took the office, president Joachim Gauck prove himself to be a man of his words, unlike Gauck's predecessor, Christian Wulff who had promised heaven and earth on integration and did little, but get himself in to scandal that force him out of office.
Speaking in Frankfurt, where he attended a St. Paul's Church ceremony to mark the tenth anniversary of a scholarship program organized for the immigrant families.
First he said the founding message of the program: ''We believe in you, not only as future professionals, but as citizen, as people on our side of country''
Gauck was referring to the Hertie Foundation scholarship program, and described the scholarship as a living proof of successful coexistence.
Gauck also encourage the young people of foreign origin to enter the teaching profession. ''There are so many schools that need your support in the future,'' for an example , almost 4 from 10 of today's youth have an immigration background and some stories to tell.
Especially in the education sector or in the civic engagement and service could just be the right stages where young people with migration experience could play a good role, bring their idea on, and integrate themselves totally in to our communities, that is what globalization is all about.
