Mitt Romney Tells The Obamas To Start Packing

The candidate for the Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich began to take the first steps to resign to contest next Tuesday and show their support for Mitt Romney, said one of his advisers.

Gingrich had a friendly conversation with Romney on Wednesday and began planning an event where I could express support for the possible Republican standard-bearer, said RC Hammond, a spokesman for Gingrich. Both agreed to work together to unite conservatives against President Barack Obama .

"Clearly, Romney is the nominee and the aim should be to defeat Obama and not ourselves," said Gingrich during an event proselytizing in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, a day after Romney clinched the nomination by winning primaries in five states.

Gingrich had pinned their hopes on a good result in the primaries held yesterday in Delaware, but failed.

In recent days, had indicated that his campaign was to reach the final. His decision to stop seeking the nomination would come at a time when Romney seems to have tied up the nomination.

Gingrich also spoke by telephone with the Republican National Committee chairman, Reince Priebus, and supporters like Texas Governor Rick Perry , in states where primaries will be to inform the decision was hinting for days.

Gingrich came under pressure for some time to leave the race and cleared the way for Romney.

"There comes a point where you have to be honest about what happens in the real world and that is different than I would have liked to happen," he told supporters at a restaurant in Charlotte, North Carolina.
