Dancing with the Stars: Motown Week Results

It’s results night on “Dancing with the Stars” and another couple will be eliminated. Last night the couples performed to the hits of Motown while the singers that made the songs popular performed them live. After the dance marathon points were added the couples were separated by 15 points with Gladys and Tristan at the bottom with 24 and Katherine and Mark at the to with 39.

Band leader Harod Wheeler opened the show with a Motown medley as the pros performed on the dancefloor.

The first couples to learn their results were William Cheryl, Maria and Derek, Jaleel and Kym, and Melissa and Maks. The first couple safe was Jaleel and Kym. Maria and Derek are in jeopardy. William and Cheryl are safe; but Melissa and Maks are in jeopardy and will have to wait to learn their results.

Before any more results, the AT&T Spotlight dance is a performance from Michaela DePrince from Sierra Leone who at 17 is a part of the American Ballet Theatre. Natasha Beddingfield performs “Wild Horses” as Michaela dances. Performing with Michaela was “So You Think You Can Dance” alum Ade.

The Macy’s Stars of Dance features the premiere television debut of Shaping Sound – with another “So You Think You Can Dance” performer ravis Wall.

The best selling R&B group, multi platinum selling trio Boyz II Men perform “One More Dance” from their album “20” as Anna and Dmitri performed on the dance floor.

Time for more results with Gladys and Tristan, Donald and Peta, Roshon and Chelsie, and Katherine and Mark. Katherine and Mark are safe. Gladys and Tristan are in jeopardy. Donald and Peta are safe; but Roshon and Chelsie are in jeopardy and will have to wait to learn their results.

After a commercial break the four couple in jeopardy finally learn their results. Melissa and Maks are safe. Gladys and Tristan are in the bottom two. Maria and Derek are safe; leaving Roshon and Chelsie in the bottom two.

Gladys and Tristan and Roshon and Chelsie will have to dance it out in the dance duel performing the Jive. After the dance, the judges will vote on which couple they want to save. The judges make their decision based solely on the dance duel performance. Even though they were about to attle it out, the dancers were encouraging each other while they waited to perform.

After the dance Carrie Ann said she had so much respect for both couples and it was beautiful to see the different styles of dance. Len said both couples handled the pressure very well. He said that Gladys dances like she sings and Roshon always gives 100%. Bruno said Gladys is a unique and special lady and it was an honour to have her on the show. Bruno said Roshon had immaculate timing.

Gladys and Tristan were eliminated from the competition on Motown week.

Next week the seven couples will perform on Classical week.
